Forum Announcement: Forum Rules
Hello and welcome!  To help you and everyone else enjoy the forum, please read and follow these rules:

A. Forum Etiquette

1.) Speak respectfully of other users, public figures, and corporations. You should be fair in your statements about people and companies. Always assume that the person you are discussing can read every word you type — because, of course, he or she can and many people involved with the Delantare productions do. Do not flame other members, and do avoid hateful and inflammatory language.

2.) Do not double-post. If you would like to add something to the post you just made, click on the “Edit” button in the upper right-hand corner of your post.

3.) Keep language to a minimum. Though Delantare often deals with mature subject matter, the production team always tries to keep things in the realm of good taste.  Graphic profanity and sexual language are prohibited.  Keep it PG/PG-13.

4.) Post with substance. Try to post more than just "I agree!" "Ditto!" etc.  Excessive short posts clutter up the forum, and needlessly flood the inboxes of anyone subscribed to email notifications.

5.) Try to use good spelling and grammar. Please type your posts in full sentences and avoid netspeak or chat-style writing for clarity and to avoid confusion. Do not use excessive ALL CAPS in your post.

6.) Do not start topics or post messages solely to advertise other websites. You may place a link to your site in your signature, as long as it is not illegal or pornographic in nature.

7.) Do not post pirated/illegal materials here.  While we are proponents of Fair Use, we do not support truly pirated content of any kind.  If you post illegally obtained information on the forum, it will be removed. Please PM a moderator before posting if you are unsure whether or not something is legal, and let an administrator here know if you do find something illegal online.

8.) Do not send spam messages through the Private Messaging system. Users found doing this will be given one warning; repeat offenders will be banned. The general forum rules also apply to the Private Messaging system. If you receive a PM that violates forum rules, contact a moderator or administrator, and be prepared to forward the offending message.

B. Discussion Topics

1.) When starting a new topic, be sure to check that it is not already an existing discussion and that it is in the correct forum. If the moderators find duplicate topics, they will usually close one or combine the two.   This will help keep everything organized and easy to browse for everyone!

2.) Stay on topic.  Moderators will close threads that rabbit-trail off to other subjects.

3.) Political and Theological discussions are prohibited!  This forum is a place to talk about the fictional stories of Delantare and enjoy the company of fellow fans.  It is not the place for political or theological debates.  This also includes signatures!

You can help the moderators. If you see an inappropriate post, click on the triangle-shaped “!” icon in the upper right-hand corner of the post, fill out the necessary information, and click "Submit." This will alert the moderators and they will take whatever action is necessary.

C. Image Guidelines

1.) Do not post lewd, violent or pornographic images or links to such images.  Images or words that are lewd, violent, sexual, or inappropriate may be removed or edited by the moderators. This forum has a strict NO-PORN policy, and users posting pornographic images or links will be immediately banned!

2.) Avatars may not exceed 200 pixels wide by 200 pixels tall, and avatar file sizes may not exceed 75 KB. Avatars may not spoof the appearance of the moderator banners.

3.) Signature images may not be animated and may not exceed 500 pixels wide by 200 pixels tall. A signature may not contain more than two images.

D. Summary

The administrators and moderators have the right to enforce the spirit of the rules, not just the letter.  Even if you think you’ve found a loophole, be aware that the moderators still have the right to stop you if you’re causing a problem.

Thank you for taking the time to read through the forum rules!  As the community here grows, the rules may be altered or adapted to address any new situations that may arise.  If any updates happen, the date they go into affect will be noted in the thread subject line.
